Planning Past The Numbers

Mark Rubin, Partner, Head of Tax, offers insight into how Corient helps clients create meaningful value by planning prospectively for their future.

We have a 60-person professional tax department here at Corient, combination of tax lawyers, CPAs, and enrolled agents, which serves not only doing tax returns and compliance for families, but more importantly being at the table whenever important financial decisions are being made. I'm Mark Rubin. I'm a Partner here at Corient and Head of Tax.

Philosophically, we strongly believe that tax compliance, filling out tax returns is reporting history. What we believe we bring additional value and meaningful value to clients is thinking prospectively, thinking about the future and what we believe to be the best strategies for them based on their unique circumstances.

What is central for all of us, everybody in the partnership here at Corient, is that we're really serving people and we want to serve families over multiple generations, and it's really important to be an advocate and advise those families anytime a meaningful financial decision is being made on their behalf.
