One of the things that's happened in the legal industry over the last several decades is it's become a big business, and as it's become a big business, the opportunities have really increased, but the complexity has increased.
I'm Randy Goldstein. I'm a partner here at Corient, and I specialize in advising attorneys. These are people who are incredibly busy; very,
very demanding jobs. One of the keys to delivering excellent service to attorneys is being proactive. When we're reactive, we're not bringing our best. When we're proactive, we're the ones who are raising issues. We are reaching out to clients, CPAs, we're coordinating with their attorneys.
I think very importantly, we try to integrate with the benefit and tax teams at these law firms so that when clients are thinking about cash flows, when they're thinking about the growth of their assets, when they're thinking about tax strategies, we are the team that's raising the issues and helping them solve them, as opposed to sitting back and waiting for those to be delivered to us. Attorneys find an enormous amount of value in that because they don't really have the time to keep track of it themselves.
